Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Kiekeboe, located at Hammolenweg 9 in the heart of Kerkrade. We are part of Flow Kinderopvang and have been providing trusted, small-scale childcare for children aged 0 to 4 for over 25 years. Our daycare is centrally located near the shopping center and is easily accessible by public transport and car. At Kiekeboe, we work with horizontal age groups to ensure every child receives the attention they need. Our baby group is for children from 0 to 15 months, the toddler group for children from 15 months to 2.5 years, and we have two preschool groups for children from 2.5 to 4 years. In our small, cozy baby group, we follow the feeding and sleeping rhythm from home. Babies have their own sleeping room and can nap both indoors and outdoors in a safe outdoor crib. The toddler and preschool groups follow a fixed daily routine that provides structure and familiarity. Our large, adventurous garden is a true paradise for children. With a maze, climbing house, slide, and vegetable garden, children can play for hours. Babies have a separate outdoor area where they can safely explore and enjoy nature. We regularly open the doors between groups so children can also play with other friends. Kiekeboe uses the VVE method 'Speelplezier'. This method stimulates language, social, and cognitive skills through play. We pay great attention to language stimulation and actively involve parents in their child's development. With each new theme, parents receive information about vocabulary, rhymes, and songs, so development is also supported at home. Healthy nutrition and sufficient exercise are very important to us. Children receive healthy snacks such as fruit and seasonal vegetables and drink unsweetened beverages. The warm lunch is lovingly prepared with fresh ingredients. We move with the children daily, both indoors and outdoors, through simple movement games. We value personal contact with parents. During drop-off and pick-up, there is time for handover and asking questions. We use fixed drop-off and pick-up times to ensure peace and structure. Our enthusiastic team of qualified pedagogical staff is ready every day to give your child a safe, loving, and enriching day.
