Kinderdagverblijf Jij en Ik is a small-scale, homely daycare centre located at Wijngracht 11a in the heart of Bocholtz. We welcome up to 58 children per day. By keeping the group deliberately small we can focus fully on the individual needs of every child and every parent. Our aim is to offer a safe, familiar environment in which children can simply be themselves and, through play, discover who they are. Our two vertical groups – the Schuperts and the Streupers – allow children from 0 to 4 years to play together and learn from one another. The group rooms are carefully arranged to suit the age and development of the children, with quiet corners, play areas and creative challenges. Our outdoor space is divided into two play areas so that babies can explore in safety while toddlers can let off steam to their hearts’ content. We believe outdoor play is important; fresh air and natural stimuli contribute to healthy development. We work with the recognised Early Childhood Education programme ‘Speelplezier’. This programme focuses on language, numeracy, social skills and independence, tailored precisely to the world of experience of young children. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide the activities with care and expertise, enabling every child to grow at his or her own pace. Activities include story time, singing, arts and crafts with natural materials and exploring the garden. We also provide warm meals and take account of food allergies or special dietary requirements. Parents experience an open and personal approach. We believe it is important that you feel welcome and are involved in your child’s upbringing. Our door is always open for a chat, a question or a tour. Your child is in trusted hands with us, allowing you to work or study with peace of mind.
