Het Toverbos

Welcome to Het Toverbos, located at Haverweg 63 in Rheden. We are a daycare centre for children aged 0 to 4, where every child can grow up with joy and confidence. Our core values are safety, trust and learning through play. Safety is our top priority. We carry out an annual risk assessment and have child-proofed every room: sockets are placed high and secured, door strips prevent little fingers from getting trapped, and the entire playground is enclosed by a sturdy fence. Yet safety is more than physical protection. Our qualified pedagogical staff make sure every child feels emotionally secure, enabling full development and discovery of the world around them. We believe that play equals learning. Therefore we offer age-specific activities. Babies explore different textures and gaze at themselves in mirrors. Toddlers (around 2–2.5 years) join small-group sessions: we sit in a circle, take turns telling stories, learn colours, shapes, emotions and letters through playful cards, and sing songs—sometimes in English. This gentle preparation smooths the transition to primary school. We regularly take a small group of toddlers to visit a local primary school in Rheden, letting them become familiar with the building and meet older children. When you drop off or pick up your child, you will always be greeted by a familiar face. Personal attention is essential to us. We are happy to take over the care of your child for a while, so you can focus on your work with peace of mind.
