Welcome to Daycare Het Speelkasteel, a small-scale, homely centre in Beverwijk for children from 0 to 4 years. As part of Kinderopvang IJmond we share the values of care, fun and trust, yet our Dommelsingel site adds a touch of magic: “Magical play – royal growth”. We work with one vertical group of up to 16 children a day. Babies, toddlers and preschoolers share the same space, creating stability, familiar faces and endless opportunities to learn from one another. The rooms are spacious and calm, exactly what young children need to feel safe and free. A predictable daily rhythm guides us. From 07:00 you can bring your child; we take time for personal hand-over and free play. At 09:30 we sit together for fruit and tea. While the little ones nap, older children explore or join age-specific activities. At 11:30 we share sandwiches and milk, followed by another rest period. The afternoon offers quiet or more challenging play, always tuned to each child’s pace. Around 15:00 vegetables and a snack are served, and we finish the day outside or with a fun activity. Pick-up runs until 19:00, with a full daily report. Our professional staff provide more than childcare. We see ourselves as an extension of home: safe, loving and attentive. Language and motor development are stimulated through play, songs, stories and discovery in our garden. Safety and hygiene are reviewed yearly by the municipal health service and fire brigade, so you can relax knowing your child is in good hands. For busy parents we offer flexible solutions: long opening hours (07:00-19:00), half-day options and a warm meal at the end of the day. Communication is short and personal; we are always approachable and keep you informed through brief daily chats. Together we build a trusted foundation for your child – every single day.
