Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Het Kuiken, located at Kooikersplein 2 in the heart of Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk. Our daycare is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Zoeterwoude and offers places for up to 37 children aged 0 to 4 years. In our characterful, fully renovated building we run three horizontal groups: the Ducks, Butterflies and Fish. Each group has its own atmosphere, yet everywhere you will feel the same warm, home-like environment. At Het Kuiken, play is the central and most powerful way to learn. Our professional staff create a safe and stimulating environment where children can explore, experiment and grow. We follow the principle ‘Play, Learn, Grow’ and provide pre-school education (VE), giving your child a flying start through play. Art, culture and music are part of every day: we sing songs, paint, craft and make music together. Children’s yoga is also a regular activity; in a playful way toddlers learn to know and relax their bodies. Our spacious garden invites outdoor play and nature experience. When the weather is fine, the youngest ones enjoy sleeping outdoors in the fresh air; a soothing routine that contributes to healthy development. Safety and security are paramount: the building features a secure entry system and is equipped with high-quality materials that are not legally required but make a stay at Het Kuiken a delight for both child and parent. We believe care should match your own parenting style as closely as possible. Therefore we are happy to discuss sleeping and feeding routines, comforting habits and the small daily rituals familiar to your child.
