Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Groei en Bloei, a unique agricultural daycare located in a fully renovated barn at cherry farm Strik – Basten, Dijkgraaf de Leeuwweg 35 in Alphen. Our small-scale daycare accommodates up to 32 children aged 0 to 4 years, combining professional childcare with the rich experience of farm life. Our location started in late 2021 with a completely renovated section of the barn and expanded in October 2023 with two additional daycare groups and one after-school care group. The spaces feature underfloor heating and homely furnishings, making children feel right at home. The daycare is entirely on the ground floor and meets all required standards and quality requirements. What truly makes us special is our large outdoor space with discovery garden, featuring different levels, paths and a sandbox. Children can play and explore freely while experiencing nature. Additionally, we have a large plot with covered cherry trees. In summer, we use this as an extra discovery garden where children can pick fresh cherries themselves and learn about how fruit grows. As an agricultural daycare, we offer children the opportunity to grow up in an environment where nature, seasons and farm life are central. We believe in small-scale and personal care, where each child has space to develop at their own pace.
