Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf EigenWijs Rijswijk, a trusted daycare center nestled in the forest on the border of The Hague and Rijswijk. Our childcare facility is located in the Landgoederenzone, a unique location where children aged 0 to 4 embark on daily adventures in nature. At EigenWijs, we believe children are natural creative explorers. We provide a rich environment where they can develop their talents. Our pedagogical staff create daily special activities that connect with young children's world of experience. From building rockets to jumping through mud, from picking strawberries in our forest garden to drawing sea creatures – every day is different and full of surprises. We operate with two baby groups (0-2 years), a toddler group (2-4 years) and a vertical group (1.5-4 years), focusing on the natural development of each child. Our baby groups are guided by specialized baby experts, while our toddler groups work with VVE-trained pedagogical staff who optimally prepare children for primary school. Our activities center around nature, creativity and movement. We organize toddler gym, music lessons with our regular music teacher Gerie, yoga and dance. Daily we take a forest walk and enjoy our beautiful outdoor space where children learn about plants and animals through play. We even have a special forest garden where even the youngest can play safely. EigenWijs Rijswijk has the 'Green Childcare' certification from Stichting Groen Cement, underlining our commitment to nature experience and sustainability. We believe it's important that children grow up with respect and love for nature. Our daycare center is easily accessible by bike and car. From Prinses Beatrixlaan, turn right at the sign into the forest, and after 300 meters you'll find our characteristic location.
