Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Eigen Wijs, located at Van Heutszlaan 60a in the heart of Ede. Since 1995 we have been offering a warm, green place where children aged 0 to 4 can develop at their own pace. Our central location makes us easily accessible from every neighbourhood in Ede and the surrounding area, and there is always ample parking. Space is our keyword: space to play, to discover, and above all to be yourself. We run two baby groups (0-1.5 years) and four toddler groups (1.5-4 years). In these horizontal groups a steady team of pedagogical professionals treats every child as a unique individual and provides a loving, safe haven. Large indoor and outdoor areas invite children to run, climb, cycle and of course get wonderfully dirty. We regularly walk through the neighbourhood, visit the playground or head to the petting zoo with our pull-cart. Daily outdoor play in nature is essential to us. Curiosity is sparked and children are given every opportunity to grow at their own tempo. Indoors we are creative, sporty and musical. We use the pre-school education programme Uk & Puk and work around ever-changing themes, so language, numeracy and social skills are developed through play. Music plays an important role; singing, dancing and making sounds are part of every day. Flexibility is one of our strong points. We offer flexible contracts and everything is negotiable, from half-days to extra care moments. Parents receive daily insights into their child’s life through our parent app and can always drop by for a chat. We communicate openly and personally so that home and childcare blend seamlessly. Kinderdagverblijf Eigen Wijs is registered in the National Childcare Register under number 690193968 and follows the official staff-child ratios.
