Kinderdagverblijf Doortje

Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Doortje at Kerkstraat 29 in the centre of Geldermalsen. Since October 2021 we have been offering up to 45 children a day a warm second home in a charming, former shop. Our vertical group concept (0-4 years and 2.5-4 years) allows babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers to meet, learn from each other and grow up together in one close-knit community. As soon as you step inside you enter our ‘tropical fairy-tale forest’: aquariums with colourful fish, jungle wallpaper and 3-D wall decorations with flowers and animals. This stimulating environment sparks imagination and helps children feel safe and at home quickly. Our certified Healthy Childcare label is reflected in a daily menu of steamed vegetables, fresh fish and seasonal fruit, always tailored to any allergies or dietary requirements. Our pedagogical staff – such as Jolanda, who has been part of the team for 16 years – guide the children with passion and expertise. They deliberately work in small, vertical groups, leaving room for genuine attention and a deep bond with every child and their parents. We provide fixed daily routines with rest periods in separate sleeping areas, gentle baby care (bottle feeding, changing, cuddling) and challenging toddler activities such as monkey moves, music sessions and story time. We also encourage risky play in our enclosed garden to build self-confidence and motor skills. In short: at Kinderdagverblijf Doortje in Geldermalsen, children from 0 to 4 are given every opportunity to play, discover and grow in a homely, small-scale setting where everyone knows and values each other.
