Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Dikkertje Dap, located at Veerkensweg 24 in the heart of Oud Gastel. As part of Stichting Kinderopvang Oud Gastel, we have been providing professional childcare for the youngest children since 1991. Our daycare center is specially designed for children aged 0 to 4 years and offers a safe, familiar environment where your child can grow and develop optimally. At Dikkertje Dap, we work with horizontal groups, where children are divided by age. Our baby group is intended for children from 6 weeks to approximately 1.5 years old. Here, care and sensitive approach are central, with daily routines fully adapted to home habits. With a maximum of 10 children per day, we can give the little ones the attention they deserve. For the toddler group, approximately 1.5 to 2.5 years old, we maintain a fixed daily schedule with set times for eating, drinking, and an afternoon nap. This group has a maximum of 16 children and offers plenty of room for free play, games, reading aloud, and creative activities. We observe that children in this age group undergo tremendous development in language, social interaction, and independence. Our preschool group is designed for children from 2.5 to 4 years old and forms a wonderful preparation for primary education. With a maximum of 23 children, divided into two smaller groups, we playfully work on skills important for elementary school. We offer the VVE program Uk & Puk, through which we focus on language development and social skills. Our location features a spacious outdoor playground where children can romp and discover daily. We provide all necessities: from diapers and wipes to formula feeding and fresh fruit. Our experienced pedagogical staff are ready every day to guide your child with love and expertise. We operate Monday through Friday from 06:30 to 18:30 and offer flexible childcare options, including half-days.
