Kinderdagverblijf De Wonderboot

Kinderdagverblijf De Wonderboot is a small-scale, private daycare centre on the northern edge of Hengelo, located at Oldenzaalsestraat 603. We provide care for children aged 0–4 in five horizontal age groups, allowing peers to play and grow together in a familiar setting. Our baby group (0–9 months) welcomes a maximum of six infants and is guided by certified baby specialists who focus on calm, predictable routines and secure attachment. Toddlers (9–24 months) and preschoolers (2–4 years) each have their own group rooms with age-appropriate materials and a clear daily rhythm. We follow the recognised VVE programme Uk & Puk, which stimulates language, motor skills, social-emotional development and early numeracy through play. All pedagogical staff are VVE-certified, hold valid childcare diplomas, first-aid and emergency-response certificates, and have completed Triple P training so parents can also receive parenting support. Every child is given space to develop at their own pace; we treat each need with respect and ensure children feel safe and seen. Our welcoming building features a large, secure indoor play hall and a spacious garden with varied play equipment and a sandpit. Outdoor play is valued just as much as indoor activities: children can run, climb, build sandcastles and explore nature. De Wonderboot is open Monday to Saturday from 07:00–18:00; on Saturdays we work in 3-hour blocks so parents with weekend shifts can rely on us too. Earlier opening times can be arranged by agreement. Flexibility and personal attention are our priorities. We keep parents informed of their child’s progress through parent meetings and photos, and we tailor care to each family’s needs.
