Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf de Watermolen, located at Molenwerf 1e in the quiet and child-friendly Westerkoog district of Koog aan de Zaan. We provide childcare for children from 0 to 4 years in a small-scale, homely daycare centre. Our centre consists of two groups: a baby group and a toddler group. Personal contact is central to us; a small team of qualified pedagogical professionals guides your child intensively and tailors activities to every developmental stage. Inside we have arranged different play corners with developmental and experience-oriented materials that invite play and discovery. The spaces are carefully laid out so that both babies and toddlers find a safe and stimulating environment. Our outdoor area is fully enclosed and offers plenty of opportunities to climb, cycle, dig in the sand and swing. A slide, swing and sandbox are ready so that your child gets fresh air and natural stimuli every day. We work closely with primary school De Watermolen and Freekids within one Integral Child Centre (IKC). This cooperation guarantees a smooth transition from daycare to toddler care and later to the kindergarten class. For the toddler group we use the VVE method Pyramid: through play toddlers learn social skills and get to know colours, shapes, language and numeracy in a playful way. We align our activities with the learning line of the primary school so that your child is well prepared for the next step. Flexibility is important for many parents. Therefore we offer both full days and half-day sessions, tailored to your work and family situation. Our opening hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., also during study days and school holidays. You can always bring your child at the times that suit you.
