Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf De Vlieger, a warm and homely daycare centre located at Langstraat 14A in Schijndel. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in two fixed core groups: a baby/toddler group on the ground floor for up to 9 children aged 0 to 2.5 years, and a toddler group on the first floor for up to 13 children aged 1.5 to 4 years. Our daycare is small-scale and personal, with dedicated pedagogical staff who provide a secure foundation for every child. Our approach is inspired by anthroposophy. We honour the seasons, sing regularly, use natural materials, and offer activities such as music, dance, and crafts. We believe in the power of calm, rhythm, and attention. There is a predictable daily rhythm, allowing children to develop at their own pace. We have no screens and take no photos during the day, so children can fully immerse themselves in play and imagination. Children play daily in our spacious garden behind the building, where they can run, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. We offer a homely environment that feels like a second home. For our toddler group, we also provide early childhood education (VVE), focusing on language, social skills, and independence in preparation for primary school. We believe it’s important for parents to feel involved. That’s why we take a moment each day at drop-off and pick-up to share what your child has experienced and how the day went. Together, we create a familiar and safe place where your child enjoys coming to.
