Welcome to De Kroost daycare, located in a characteristic city farm at Crosestein 1402a in Zeist. Since 1995 we provide childcare with quality, commitment and a clear pedagogical vision based on anthroposophical ideas. Our location breathes the atmosphere of a warm home: inside many original elements of the farm are still visible and the former stables have been converted into cozy, intimate spaces where children immediately feel welcome. We care for up to 59 children in horizontal groups: one baby group and two toddler groups. The play houses, toys and all materials are carefully selected and tailored to the children's age. Outside lies a large, natural garden without through traffic, where children can play and discover every day. Together with the pedagogical staff they also take care of our vegetable garden; this way they learn in a playful manner where food comes from and experience the seasons consciously. Our qualified pedagogical staff are fully grounded in the anthroposophical vision. They build a close and trusting relationship with each child and have an eye for the uniqueness of every individual. Conscious living, respect for nature, the use of wooden materials and organic food are self-evident for us. As a non-profit foundation we make choices where the child's interest is always central. De Kroost daycare is affiliated with the Branch Organization for Childcare and is supervised by the GGD. We offer parents a place where they can confidently bring their child and children a place where they feel at home and can develop freely.
