Kinderdagverblijf de Kinderburcht

Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf de Kinderburcht, located within primary school De Warande at Burchtlaan 7 in Axel. We provide care for up to 12 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our toddler group is situated in a safe and familiar school environment, ensuring a smooth transition to primary education. At De Kinderburcht, we follow a structured programme focused on play and development. We use daily rhythm cards to provide structure and work thematically with activities tailored to different developmental levels. Together with the teachers of De Warande, we organise joint activities such as playing in the kindergarten playground. This helps toddlers become familiar with the school, the teachers, and their peers. Our location features a nature garden with a large sandbox, a willow wigwam, and a vegetable garden. This green environment invites children to explore, play, and garden. We believe it is important that children feel safe and can be themselves. That’s why we work with a consistent team of pedagogical staff to build a trusted relationship. The toddler group is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
