Kinderdagverblijf De Kei

Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf De Kei, located at Rodenweg 3 in Mill. We are a green daycare center where children aged 0 to 4 can grow up in a natural environment. Our location is situated in the peaceful nature reserve 'De Bruggen', surrounded by forests and meadows. At De Kei, nature experience is central. We believe that playing in nature not only gives children joy but also contributes to their development. Our pedagogical staff guide children in exploring nature, caring for our animals (goats, donkeys, chickens, pigs and rabbits) and working in our own vegetable garden. Children can sow seeds themselves, water plants and see how vegetables and fruit grow. A unique aspect of our care is that we spend 70% of the day outdoors. We have special outdoor beds where children can sleep wonderfully in the fresh air. Each group has both an indoor and outdoor sleeping area. We believe fresh air is healthy and that children often sleep better outside. Our vision originated from Gastouderbureau Roos, founded by Anita van Gemert in 2006. After years of experience in childminding, the idea arose to start a daycare center where nature and freedom are central. Together with her daughters Rowan (with a teacher training background) and Iris, we made our dream come true. We have now existed for 10 years and have a long waiting list, which is a great compliment for us. We work with vertical groups, where children of different ages play and learn together. This stimulates social development and the older children learn from the younger ones and vice versa. We always invite parents for a tour before they register, so they can see with their own eyes what we have to offer.
