De Grote Smurf

Welcome to De Grote Smurf daycare centre, located at Oosterhamriklaan 195 in the green Korrewegwijk district of Groningen. Since 2010 we have been providing loving and professional care for children from 10 weeks to 4 years old. Our location has room for up to 28 children and is organised into two vertical groups. This means children of different ages play and learn together, guided by at least two qualified and experienced pedagogical staff members. At De Grote Smurf we work with monthly themes. Each month has its own theme – such as animals, seasons or traffic – and within that theme we craft, sing songs, read picture books and set up a special themed corner. We have our own safe outdoor play area and also love to visit the nearby park. Outdoor play is a fixed part of the day whenever the weather allows. Our permanent team is ready every day to give each child personal attention. We believe it is important that parents know us well and vice versa. That is why we work with a stable team and publish a parent newsletter every two months with news and information about our daycare. We are affiliated with the Branch Association of Childcare Entrepreneurs and follow the national Quality Covenant. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) supervises us and we pay great attention to safety and hygiene. Our fixed monthly fee includes nappies and all meals, including Nutrilon formula. Parents only need to bring a spare set of clothes, a cuddly toy and possibly a dummy. For special diets we ask for consultation. We do not offer pick-up or drop-off services, but there is plenty of free parking in front of the door and the location is easily accessible from the ring road. Would you like to meet us?
