Kinderdagverblijf De Elsen

Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf De Elsen, a warm and homely daycare centre in the Kruidenwijk district of Almere-Stad. We provide small-scale care for up to 30 children in a beautiful, wooded area on the edge of the Hogering, right next to a children’s farm. Our location consists of two horizontal groups: a baby/toddler group for children aged 0 to 2 years and a toddler group for children aged 2 to 4 years. Every child is given the space to develop safely and securely. Our owner, Els Damveld, has been working with heart and soul in childcare for more than fifteen years. Together with her permanent, experienced team of staff, she is present on the groups every day. The children are cared for by familiar faces who truly see and know them. We believe it is important that every child feels seen and valued. That is why we work with fixed days and fixed staff per group, so that a close bond is created between child, parent and pedagogical employee. Our building has a spacious, green garden where children can play and discover to their heart’s content. From the windows we look out onto the children’s farm; the animals are a beloved part of our daily life. We regularly make trips to the farm and organise other fun activities such as a reading breakfast. The natural environment offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and nature experience. Kinderdagverblijf De Elsen is open every weekday from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm. We are easily accessible for families from the Kruidenwijk, Noorderplassen and Muziekwijk districts. Our quality is checked annually by the GGD Flevoland and rewarded with an excellent inspection report.
