Welcome to De Berenboot daycare, located in the heart of Gorinchem at Oude Lombardstraat 21. We are part of SKG, an organization that has been providing childcare in Gorinchem and surrounding areas for over 40 years. Our location is situated in the same building as primary school De Tweemaster, centrally located near the shopping area and the train station, easily accessible by car and bicycle. At De Berenboot, we believe a homely and warm atmosphere is important. Safety and security are our top priorities. We closely observe the children: your child has their own rhythm and we follow it. In every room, there are age-appropriate play corners for all groups, including a home corner, construction corner, and reading corner. Children of different ages play together and learn from each other. From the baby room, you step directly onto the outdoor play strip, and from the toddler group, you enter an enclosed outdoor play area. The building has an inner courtyard, which is our own nature garden. There's plenty of space for a bike route, sandbox, slide, baby outdoor equipment, and a barefoot path. Your child can explore outdoors among tree trunks and willow tunnels to experience nature. To rest, your child can sleep in an outdoor crib. Throughout the day, we create rhythm and structure at De Berenboot daycare. This way, your child knows what to expect, providing a clear and safe feeling. In the morning, there's a fruit moment where a book is read aloud or a song is sung. Your child chooses which activity to participate in, encouraging them to make choices. Activities are often done in small groups because each child has their own opinions and interests. We ensure all developmental areas are covered in the various activities. In between, we eat a healthy lunch where your child indicates what they want on their bread. During nap or rest time, we encourage your child to dress and undress independently. In the afternoon, children play outside or engage in another activity. We provide care for up to 14 children and work with a vertical group structure, where children aged 0 to 4 play and learn together.
