Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Catootje, the trusted daycare centre in the heart of Voerendaal. Located in Brede School Cortemich at Cortemich 4, we offer a safe, warm place for up to 88 children aged 0 to 4 every day. As part of Stichting Humankind, we work from one clear mission: giving children the space to be themselves and to develop to their full potential. At Catootje, fun in play and discovery is central. Our pedagogical staff provide a varied daily programme in which reading, arts and crafts in the studio, making music and enjoying movement in the indoor and outdoor areas alternate. We work with horizontal groups, so that the very youngest find peace and regularity and the toddlers are constantly offered new challenges. The youngest babies have separate sleeping rooms with cots; after lunch, toddlers can rest on a bed or mattress in the quiet corner. Parents find open, involved cooperation with us. We discuss daily how things went, use the parent app for photos and messages and organise parent meetings twice a year. We also offer pre-school education (VVE), so that children already work on language and numeracy skills while playing. Fresh fruit, drinks and a healthy bread meal are included; in case of food allergies we are happy to adjust the menu with parents.
