BSO Batau

BSO Batau is a welcoming after-school care centre located in Kindcentrum Batau at Heemraadsweide 1, Nieuwegein. We provide care for up to 66 children aged 4 to 12. Our location works closely with primary schools De Veldrakker and De Lucasschool, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Children are grouped by age: the Busy Bees (4-6 years), the Little Rascals (6-7 years) and the Crazy Gang (7+ years). We use the spacious facilities of the children’s centre plus De Waterlelie sports hall, situated directly opposite. Indoors you will find construction materials, board games, a dolls’ corner and a quiet reading area. Outdoors there is a sandpit, climbing frame with slide and plenty of space for ball games. Our varied activity programme includes music, creative workshops, sports and games, cooking and themed holiday projects. In partnership with Merwestein, children can earn their swimming diploma during BSO hours. During school holidays we are open from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm and organise picnics, sports clinics and sports days. Before-school care is offered on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30 am to 8:30 am.
