About this care
AI
Kinderdagverblijf Aard-lief is situated in the rural area of Harbrinkhoek at Walboersweg 7. We provide small-scale, sustainable childcare for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years in one vertical group. We are open Monday to Thursday from 7.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.; drop-off is between 7.30 and 9.00 a.m., pick-up between 4.30 and 5.30 p.m.
Nature experience is at the heart of our programme. Children spend the day among the meadows and can see our animals—chickens, donkeys, Highland cattle, sheep, pigs, cats and our dog—from every room. We take walks, feed the animals, collect eggs from the henhouse and work together in our vegetable and flower gardens. The natural outdoor area is safely enclosed and invites exploration and play.
Sustainability is tangible: LED lighting, double glazing, water-saving taps and conscious choices in furniture, toys and care products. We serve only organic food and drinks, often straight from our own garden.
Our pedagogical approach is broad and inclusive. Inspired by various educational philosophies, we ensure every child—regardless of background or identity—feels welcome and secure. Children develop naturally through play in a warm, homely environment that is both challenging and stimulating indoors and outdoors.
Founded in 2019 by Sonja Busscher, a qualified Social Pedagogical Worker, Aard-lief is run by Sonja and her team—Chantal Wolters, Aafke Busscher, Juna Steggink and Judith Schröder—offering personal, committed care that respects each child and their individual pace.Read more
