Kinderdagpaleis Eigenwijs

Kinderdagpaleis Eigenwijs, located at Strijthagerweg 4 in Landgraaf, provides small-scale daycare for up to 30 children aged 0 to 4. We organise fixed horizontal groups so babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers each have their own familiar space. In the baby group we follow the home routine and schedule two consistent pedagogical staff members per child to build a close, loving bond. Our approach is inspired by the book ‘The Whole-Brain Child’. We focus on developing emotional intelligence (EQ) in both children and staff. Through self-reflection and a continuous learning mindset we create a safe environment where every child can be themselves. We go outside every day – even with the youngest – and let children explore the seasons, natural materials and their own talents through play. Our professionals are highly trained: the baby group is guided by certified baby specialists, while the toddler groups work with VVE-trained staff who implement the Speelplezier programme. Together we lay a strong foundation for a beautiful life, with wonder, freedom and safety at its heart.
