Kinderdagopvang Ot en Sien

Ot en Sien is a small-scale daycare located in a charming farmhouse at Oude Rijksweg 77 in Staphorst. Since 17 August 2009 we have been offering professional childcare in a homely setting for children from 10 weeks to 4 years old. We work in vertical groups, so siblings and friends of different ages can play and learn together. Our spacious farmhouse features a cosy kitchen, four age-appropriate playrooms, two quiet bedrooms and two large outdoor areas where children can run, climb and explore. We are open 51 weeks a year, Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., giving parents flexible childcare that fits their working hours. Every day begins with a warm welcome and a hug. For babies this means cosiness, routine and plenty of physical contact; we provide nappies, fruit and crackers and ask parents to bring their own formula. Toddlers sing songs, splash in sand and water, build with blocks and discover new words every day. The oldest preschoolers work on themed projects, imaginative play, crafts and climbing, practising both motor skills and social abilities. When the weather is nice we head outside with the push-car, enjoy a picnic in the garden or explore the playground in the fresh air. Our close-knit team of experienced pedagogical staff is ready every day to give each child the individual attention they need. We communicate openly with parents through our Parent App and closely monitor every child’s development.
