Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Ot en Sien, located in a charming farmhouse at Oude Rijksweg 77 in Staphorst. Since 2002 we have offered a homely and safe place where school children aged 4 to 12 can relax, play and discover after school. Our BSO consists of three types of care. Before school starts we welcome children from 6:30 AM during pre-school care. They may bring their own breakfast and start the day calmly with a drawing or game, after which we take them to school or even into the classroom. Right after school we pick up the children from their primary school and bring them safely to our farm. Here an afternoon full of possibilities awaits: crafting, coloring, building with Lego, dolls or cars, playing outside in our spacious garden, or just chilling out. Everything is allowed and nothing is mandatory. During school holidays we provide holiday care with a real holiday feeling. We work with themes such as water fun, gardening, baking and cooking. We also regularly make trips and enjoy the animals on our farm – from sheep and lambs to ponies and calves. Transportation to and from school is always included, at no extra cost. We believe that every child is unique and has the right to respect and personal attention. That is why we work in vertical groups, where children of different ages play and learn together. Our professional pedagogical staff are ready to guide your child in his or her development, with plenty of room for own initiative and creativity. Together with parents we create a familiar environment where children feel safe and loved.
