Kinderdagopvang Duimelijntje is located in the heart of Lisse, at Frans Halsstraat 2. Since September 1, 2023, we have been part of Cheeky’s, an organisation known for its small-scale approach, personal attention, and flexible childcare. Our location offers care for up to 48 children aged 0 to 4 years, divided into a baby group (0–1.5 years), a toddler group (1.5–3 years), and a preschool plus group (3–4 years). We also operate two after-school care groups for children aged 4 to 12, but our focus as a daycare centre (KDV) is entirely on the youngest children. We follow a vertical group structure, where children of different ages play and learn together. This supports social development and gives younger children the chance to learn from older ones. Our spaces are bright, thoughtfully designed, and offer plenty of opportunities for exploration and play. Thanks to our ‘open doors’ policy, children can choose where they play and move freely between areas. Our care is flexible: in addition to regular fixed days, we also offer customised care and flexible childcare. Parents can indicate which days and times they need care, as long as it fits within our schedule. This is ideal for parents with irregular working hours. It is also possible to bring your child one hour earlier than our regular opening time (07:30 AM). We provide nappies (Pampers), bottle feeding (parents bring their own), fruit, drinks, and a bread-based meal. Children sleep in quiet nap areas, and we use the KidsKonnect app to keep parents updated with photos and messages. Settling-in sessions are always arranged with parents and take place just before the start of care. At Duimelijntje, personal attention is key.
