Welcome to Kindercentrum Baloo, located at Langestraat 65 in Marum. Since 1997 we have provided small-scale, homely childcare for children aged 0 to 4 in a warm and secure environment that truly feels like a home away from home. All our pedagogical staff hold a fully recognised MBO-3 or MBO-4 qualification in childcare and give every child the space to develop at their own pace, with respect for each child’s unique personality. We organise the day care into horizontal groups: a separate baby group (0-2 years) and a separate toddler group (2-4 years). This set-up allows us to tailor materials, activities and the entire room layout precisely to the children’s age and developmental stage. Babies receive the calm, warmth and stimulation they need, while toddlers playfully work on language, motor skills and social abilities. Reading aloud, singing and arts & crafts are as natural as outdoor play in our own garden. Baloo is an officially recognised Early Childhood Education (VVE) centre. Our specially trained staff run an accredited programme for children aged 2½-4, providing extra language and developmental stimulation so that every child – including those who need a little extra support – can start primary school with confidence. VVE activities take place four half-days a week in a small, familiar group. Flexibility matters to us. You can opt for fixed half-days or flexible care, always with a minimum of three consecutive hours. We are open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 18:00. Parents entitled to childcare allowance pay € 7.00 per hour; non-working parents pay an income-related parental contribution. Feel free to visit and experience how pleasant Baloo is!
