Welcome to the After-School Care (BSO) of Kindercentrum VillaDriel, located at Hoorzik 38g in Kerkdriel. Housed in a charming villa in northern Kerkdriel, we provide a second home for children aged 4 to 13 after school hours. Our BSO accommodates up to 50 children and works closely with primary schools in Kerkdriel, Velddriel, Rossum, Zaltbommel and Hedel. Every weekday we pick the children up with our own minibuses and bring them safely to the centre. Indoors the children can enjoy a theatre, a quiet study corner for homework, an arts-and-crafts & dining area, a colourful ball pit, a castle room, a jungle room and a separate play room. Outside there is a fully enclosed playground with a panna cage, slides, balance beam, horizontal bar, spring chickens, sandpit and a tree house. We deliberately have no television or game consoles; creativity, playing together and being outdoors are central to us. After school, on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday we start with a quiet moment with fruit and drinks, after which the children can play freely or take part in workshops such as cooking, sports and crafts. On Wednesday and Friday we begin with a joint lunch. During school holidays we offer full-day care and organise trips to playgrounds, amusement parks, swimming pools, museums or the forest. We also arrange transport to and from music lessons, sports clubs or school choir. Flexibility and affordability are high on our list of priorities. We have generous opening hours from 7 a.m. and, on request, children can be brought earlier or picked up later. Our pedagogical plan is not about compulsory activities, but about guidance based on each child’s interests. In this way we create a place where children truly feel at home.
