Kindercentrum Tuimelaar

Welcome to Kindercentrum Tuimelaar, our daycare centre located at Alexander Gogelweg 10 in Vlissingen. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Walcheren and have provided a trusted home-away-from-home for up to 68 children aged 0 to 4 since 1 January 2010. The centre is situated in the heart of the Paauwenburg district, close to woods, the beach, the boulevard, a park, a shopping centre and a small deer park, offering endless opportunities for natural exploration. At Tuimelaar we work with vertical groups: children from 0 to 4 years share one room. This allows babies to learn from older toddlers and helps the toddlers develop caring skills by keeping an eye on the little ones. We deliver Early Childhood Education (VVE), playfully stimulating language, numeracy and social skills. Our qualified staff tailor care to each child, from bottle-feeding and nap schedules for babies to first steps towards independence for toddlers. The rooms are bright and homely, divided into themed play corners so every child finds a place that suits their needs: a quiet corner with cribs and soft toys, a construction area with soft mats, a reading nook with picture books, and a creative table for joint modelling or painting. Our enclosed outdoor playground is directly connected to the room and offers plenty of space to climb, cycle or simply roll in the grass. From inside we always have a clear view of the children, ensuring safety and freedom go hand in hand. Parents experience Tuimelaar as a warm community where every child is seen. Each child has a dedicated mentor who closely follows their development and consults with you. During drop-off and pick-up there is time for personal feedback: how did your child sleep, what did they enjoy today, and are there any special notes? We want parents to feel at home with us and children to enter and leave with a smile.
