Kindercentrum Ter Doest

Welcome to the After-School Care (BSO) of Kindercentrum Ter Doest, located inside primary school Ter Doest at Jacintastraat 1 in the centre of Graauw. We provide care for children aged 4 to 12 in a familiar, homely setting. Because we are based in the school building, children walk straight to us after class and immediately feel at home. Our aim is to create a safe place where children can be themselves, discover new things and learn to play together with peers of different ages. Every weekday we organise activities that appeal to all age groups. On the toddler/infant playground several corners have been set up where the youngest after-school children can play to their heart’s content. We love outdoor play and regularly use the spacious schoolyard with its sandpit and green play areas. During school holidays we offer a special holiday programme built around a theme. There is then extra time and space to prepare a tasty lunch together or to take on larger craft projects. For example, we first go outside to look for beautiful materials and then create something creative with them. We also make regular trips in the local area, such as visiting the herb garden or petting the goats. Our team consists of permanent pedagogical staff who work fixed days, so every child has a familiar face. We believe in continuous learning and regularly attend training courses. We also give trainees the opportunity to gain experience with us. Kindercentrum Ter Doest is part of Kinderopvang Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, an HKZ-certified organisation. We are open every weekday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and also during school holidays, provided at least three children are registered. Feel free to drop by for a visit!
