Kindercentrum 't molentje

Located at Schoolstraat 1 in the heart of Sint-Philipsland, Kindercentrum ’t Molentje has provided dedicated day-care (KDV) for children aged 0–4 since 2013. We keep our setting small-scale: a maximum of 28 children divided into two clearly defined groups. The infant group focuses entirely on the youngest ones, emphasising secure attachment, emotional development and early motor skills. The toddler group gently prepares children for primary school by encouraging independence: learning to eat by themselves, putting on coats, potty training and engaging in short, theme-based craft activities. Our pedagogical approach is built around the Uk & Puk development programme. Uk & Puk offers ten recognisable themes that fit perfectly with the world of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Puk, a soft doll, is the children’s constant playmate. Every Uk & Puk activity is carefully balanced across four domains: language development, social-emotional growth, motor and sensory skills, and early mathematical stimuli. Children simply learn new skills by playing—no formal lessons, ever. Outside, a fully enclosed garden with age-appropriate play equipment invites daily adventures. In fine weather we spend plenty of time outdoors; inside, separate sleep rooms allow every child to rest at their own pace. Our team of four experienced childcare professionals provides warm, knowledgeable care every day. We use the Bitcare app so parents receive real-time photos and updates on meals and naps.
