Kindercentrum St. Jozef

Welcome to Kindercentrum St. Jozef, a warm and trusted daycare centre located in the heart of Nieuw Namen, within the same building as primary school Sint Jozef. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a small-scale, homely environment. Our baby group and toddler group are carefully designed with different play and discovery corners. For the youngest ones, we offer a safe playpen and a separate sleeping room where each child has their own bed. We follow a consistent daily routine focused on rest, regularity, and attention. Fresh fruit is served twice a day, and around lunchtime we enjoy sandwiches together. For the youngest children, we maintain their individual rhythm as much as possible. Our pedagogical approach is aimed at stimulating each child's development through play-based learning. We use the Uk & Puk method, a recognised VVE programme (Early Childhood Education) that connects with the world of experience of young children. Themes such as seasons, animals, and emotions are introduced in a playful way, supporting social-emotional and language development. Outside, we have a spacious, green playground with a large sandbox, a vegetable garden, and plenty of room to run and explore. We believe it is important for children to play outside every day and to get to know nature. We also regularly cook and bake with the children, read aloud in our cosy corner, and make time for crafts and creative expression. Kindercentrum St. Jozef is part of Kinderopvang Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, an HKZ-certified organisation. Our team consists of permanent, dedicated childcare professionals who give each child personal attention. We work closely with the kindergarten classes of the primary school to ensure a smooth transition to primary education. You are warmly invited to come and take a look!
