Kindercentrum Schoondijke

Welcome to Kindercentrum Schoondijke, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Our centre is located in the modern multi-functional building at Prinses Irenestraat 12 in the heart of Schoondijke. We provide daycare for up to 32 children aged 0–4 in a warm, safe environment where every child is given space to develop at their own pace. We use a horizontal group structure: babies (0–2 years) and toddlers (2–4 years) are placed in separate groups so that activities and care can be perfectly tailored to your child’s age and developmental stage. The baby room is designed as one large, colourful playpen where the youngest can safely roll, crawl and explore. For the toddler group we follow the recognised Early Childhood Education programme ‘Uk & Puk’. Through themed periods we cover all developmental areas: language, motor skills, spatial awareness and cognitive skills. Puk, the puppet that accompanies the programme, experiences all kinds of adventures and invites the children to learn through play. Personal contact with parents is very important to us. Every morning and afternoon there is time for a quick chat so you know exactly how your child’s day has been. A healthy, warm meal is also available; please let us know in advance so that we can all sit down together at 17:00. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For a small fee you can use our extended opening hours from 6:30-7:30 a.m. and 6:00-6:30 p.m. We also offer shorter sessions (9:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. or 12:45-3:45 p.m.), allowing you to choose what best suits your family.
