Kindercentrum Schateiland

Welcome to Kindercentrum Schateiland, located at Dudoklaan 10 in Wageningen. We are a daycare centre offering care for children from 0 to 4 years in a safe and familiar environment. At Schateiland, we provide tailored care based on the needs and developmental stage of each child. For our youngest children, we have two horizontal baby and toddler groups: the Kristallen and the Parels. Each group has its own space with a separate baby area, allowing the youngest children to sleep and play peacefully with peers of the same age. The group spaces are designed to make children feel at home quickly. From each group, there is direct access to a secure outdoor area specifically designed for children aged 0 to 4. The garden offers plenty of play and discovery opportunities and supports motor development. We also operate two horizontal toddler groups: the Maansteentjes and the Juweeltjes, for children aged 2 to 4. During school weeks, we offer the Early Childhood Education (VVE) programme ‘Startblokken’. This programme supports the development of language, numeracy and social skills through targeted activities and additional guidance, preparing children for primary school in a playful way. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready to give every child the attention they deserve. We follow a consistent daily routine with rest, regularity and recognition at its core. During pick-up and drop-off moments, we personally inform parents about the day’s experiences. We also keep parents updated through our app with photos and developmental updates. At Schateiland, we value the transition to primary school. We work closely with parents and schools to ensure this step is as smooth as possible.
