We are Kindercentrum Petito’s, located at Wilhelminastraat 78 in Dongen. In our homely daycare centre we provide care for children aged 0 to 4. We believe every child is unique and develops at his or her own pace. Therefore we offer a safe, familiar environment in which individuality and personal growth are given space. At Petito’s children learn by doing. Our pedagogical staff stand beside the child: they think along, stimulate and provide clarity and structure through a fixed daily rhythm and clear boundaries. This way children experience their surroundings as safe and familiar. We work with thematic activities that connect to the world of experience of young children: we read aloud, sing, make music, do arts and crafts and spend a lot of time outdoors. Of course there is also plenty of room for rest and sleep; each group has its own sleeping room with beds and cribs. Healthy nutrition is important to us. We serve fresh, warm meals, bread meals and healthy snacks. Special dietary requirements are gladly discussed with parents. Breastfeeding can easily be provided; each group has a refrigerator and bottle warmer ready. Our daycare centre works with a horizontal group structure: babies (0-2 years) and toddlers (2-4 years) are in separate groups, so we can tailor activities and care to the developmental stage of the child.
