BSO Koolhoven

BSO Koolhoven is part of Opmaat Kinderopvang B.V. and is located inside primary school Koolhoven at Koolhovenlaan 1b, Tilburg. We provide out-of-school care for 192 children, divided into six fixed base groups. The lower-year groups are Koevinkje, Kokerbeertje and Kommavlinder (ages 4-7, max. 22 children each). The upper-year groups are Koningspage, Koningsmantel and Kosmopoliet (ages 7-13, max. 24 children each). This horizontal structure ensures stable, familiar peer groups. Our qualified pedagogical staff work according to a fixed schedule, so every child and parent always meets a familiar face. We offer before-school, after-school and holiday care. On school days we start right after school and stay open until 19:00. During holidays and teacher-training days we welcome children from 7:30 to 19:00. Before-school care starts at 7:30 (7:00 on request). Close cooperation with primary school Koolhoven is key: we use the school corridors, classrooms and the playground as outdoor space. The transition from school to after-school care is literally just a door away. Activities often link to school themes, letting children deepen their curiosity in a familiar setting. A healthy, warm meal is included every day. Our catering partner Herbs & Spices delivers fresh dishes daily; all dietary needs can be met and the location is completely nut-free. Children decide for themselves what they want to do: arts and crafts, reading, cooking or baking, outdoor play or simply relaxing. We regularly organise creative and sports activities tailored to the children’s wishes, making the BSO real leisure time for them. Parents rate us an average of 7.6.
