Kindercentrum K.O. Nijntje

Welcome to Kindercentrum K.O. Nijntje, located at Kerklaan 4 in the heart of Scheemda. We are a small-scale daycare centre where a homely atmosphere and personal attention are paramount. With the longest opening hours in the region – from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. – we give parents the flexibility they need while allowing children to play outside as much as possible at any time of the day. We work with two core groups. The baby group follows the natural rhythm of the very youngest; feeding, sleeping and cuddle moments are tailored to individual needs and the agreements we make with parents. The toddler group works thematically: every six weeks a new theme is central, in which we playfully stimulate language, motor skills and social development. We use the recognised Early Childhood Education programme Uk & Puk, so your child gets a flying start to primary school while playing. Everything is included with us: nappies, baby food, hot meals, fruit and drinks. You never pay more than the hourly rate. We value transparency and involvement: via Jaamo you receive weekly photos or a short report and on our own Facebook page we share the nicest news. We also organise the cosy ‘Grandpa and Grandma week’ every year, in which grandparents are welcome to come and play. Our team consists of permanent, pedagogically trained staff who really know each child. We find rest, cleanliness and regularity important, but above all we offer a safe, familiar place where children can be themselves.
