Kindercentrum Kidz

Kindercentrum Kidz is a daycare centre located in a converted former horse-riding school on the edge of Oostburg. We provide care for up to 32 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our setting features a natural outdoor area we call the ‘nature-experience garden’, complete with little paths, hide-and-seek spots, a playhouse, a covered sandpit and a wide variety of plants, fruit trees and shrubs. Adjacent to the baby group there is a special baby garden for the youngest children. Both the baby group and the toddler group have their own interconnected group rooms where children eat, drink, do crafts and play. The toddler group follows the official Early Childhood Education programme (VVE), allowing toddlers to develop language, motor and social-emotional skills through play. The layout of the rooms changes regularly: doll corners, car corners, relaxation corners and other play zones provide variety and stimulation. The farm atmosphere is still very much present at our site. Old horse stables (no longer in use), a large horse pasture and barns now used for storage all contribute to this feeling. About 600 metres away lies ’t Vestje, with a playground and a small ferry across the ditch – a favourite destination for short outings. Kindercentrum Kidz is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Zeeuwsch Vlaanderen. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During school holidays we are closed.
