Kindercentrum Het Speelhuis

Welcome to Kindercentrum Het Speelhuis! We are located in a charming, converted farmhouse at Schoolstraat 10 in the village of Ees, Drenthe, just 1.2 km from Borger. Since September 2005 we have provided out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a safe, familiar and stimulating environment. Our small, permanent team of qualified pedagogical staff – all holding HBO or MBO degrees and a genuine passion for working with children – makes sure every child feels at home quickly. At Het Speelhuis we believe nature is the best playground. As an official ‘green’ and ‘healthy’ childcare centre, we offer a spacious garden full of trees, flowers and animals that invites adventurous play: sand and water fun, dragging branches, balancing on tree trunks, jumping ditches and cuddling our animals. Indoors there is plenty of play space and materials as well, so children can explore and enjoy themselves both inside and outside. Our mission is clear: we provide responsible, green childcare in a homely setting that supports each child’s healthy development. Respecting every child’s individuality is central; we tailor our approach to personal needs and developmental stages. Safety, security and a consistent daily rhythm form the foundation of our care. This allows children to be themselves, discover and grow in an environment that feels like a second home.
