Kindercentrum Het Louvre

Kindercentrum Het Louvre is located at Hermitage 46 in the Schollevaar district of Capelle aan den IJssel. As part of Royal Kids Home, we provide Christian after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13. We work closely with the Christian primary school De Sjalomschool, together forming an Integral Child Centre (IKC). This allows children to come straight to us after school in a familiar environment. Our BSO consists of two age groups: De Oase for children aged 4 to 7 and De Nachtwacht for children aged 7 to 13. This structure enables us to offer activities that match each child’s developmental stage. We work with themes that change every season, such as ‘autumn’ or ‘world trip’. These themes are developed in collaboration with the primary school, ensuring a seamless connection between school and after-school care. At Het Louvre, we believe it is important for children to feel safe and at home. We provide a stimulating environment where there is room for relaxation, play and personal development. A sensory room is available where children can relax and activate their senses. We also organise creative, sports and cultural activities tailored to the children’s interests. We are open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00. We value a careful handover between parents and our pedagogical staff, so we take plenty of time for a proper introduction and settling-in period. Together with parents, we ensure that every child enjoys coming to the BSO.
