Kindercentrum Het Elfenbankje

Kindercentrum Het Elfenbankje has been a trusted place for the very youngest in Klijndijk since 1990. We provide small-scale care for up to 16 children per day, aged 3 months to 4 years. Our location at Langeveldstraat 21 is furnished like a home, so every child feels secure and can play and explore to their heart’s content. We work with vertical groups: children of different ages share the same space. This stimulates development and social interaction. The day runs from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and follows a clear rhythm in which play, crafts, singing, dancing, shared meals and rest alternate. With our large wagon we head into the surrounding woods every day or play on the playground. Together we experience the seasons and learn from nature. Pre-school education (VVE) is standard with us. We devote a lot of attention to each child’s development and tailor activities to their individual needs. Parents can arrange flexible childcare days; unfortunately swapping days is not possible. Diapers and formula are not provided, but we are happy to help with changing and bottle-feeding. Fruit and drinks are included, as is a healthy lunch. Our goal is for children to come to Het Elfenbankje with pleasure and to feel safe and secure.
