Kindercentrum Fluitenkruid

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindercentrum Fluitenkruid, located within the Vrije School Castricum at Dokter van Nieveltweg 20. We provide care for children attending the Vrije School Castricum from Monday to Friday. Our BSO group is small-scale and operates from an anthroposophical vision, where calm, rhythm, and attention to the child are central. After school, children enter a warm, homely environment where they can relax, play, and engage in creative activities. We offer quiet corners for reading or drawing, as well as space for movement and outdoor play. We regularly use the school garden and surrounding play areas. Our daily rhythm and seasonal activities are tailored to the development and needs of each child. Our pedagogical staff are trained in the anthroposophical approach and provide children with a safe and familiar place after school. We pick up children directly from their classroom after school. Older children may come to the BSO independently. We work closely with the teachers of Vrije School Castricum to support each child’s development. Kindercentrum Fluitenkruid was founded in December 2020 by Lisa Nieuwenhuis and has since become a trusted place for children in Castricum. We stand for small-scale care, personal attention, and an educational climate where every child can be themselves.
