SKSG Flonkersteen

Welcome to SKSG Flonkersteen, our daycare center located in the heart of Vinkhuizen, in the beautiful new Prisma building at Siersteenlaan 484 in Groningen. We provide daycare for children aged 0-4 years and preschool playgroup for toddlers aged 2-4 years. We place children's development at the center of everything we do, viewing each child as competent and powerful, approaching them as unique individuals. Our groups have a calm atmosphere that invites children to play individually or in small groups. We deliberately choose toys that challenge children to invent their own games and discover the world. Our fully enclosed indoor garden is equipped with natural play elements such as sand, water, and a children's outdoor kitchen. Here children can let their imagination run wild and enjoy outdoor play. Babies can even sleep in the fresh outdoor air. We follow the VVE program Startblokken and have four core groups: Twinkel (0-2 years), Sprankel (0-4 years), Zilverzand (1-4 years) and Goudmijn (2-4 years). Each child has a dedicated mentor who serves as the contact person for parents. We implement the 4-eyes principle for optimal safety and follow a healthy nutrition policy according to the Nutrition Center guidelines. Flexible childcare hours are available and we work closely with the Wij-team Vinkhuizen and the Center for Youth and Family.
