SKSG Engelbert

Welcome to SKSG Engelbert, a small-scale daycare center located at Woldjerspoorweg 5a in Groningen. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Stad Groningen (SKSG), the largest childcare organization in Northern Netherlands. With us, everything revolves around peace, space and personal attention. Our location is situated on the edge of Meerstad, surrounded by natural and adventurous play areas. We have a large garden with a canopy, so children can go outside every day - even when it rains. We play according to the vision 'playing together, sharing together'. This way, even the youngest children learn to treat each other with respect. Due to our small scale, we can give children a lot of individual attention. Our motto is 'I can do it myself': we encourage self-reliance from an early age. Under expert guidance, children are given the space to discover themselves and the world. Gradually they gain more freedom and independence. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in a familiar, homely atmosphere. Our pedagogical staff create a safe environment where every child feels at ease and can develop through play. We work with vertical groups, where children of different ages play together and learn from each other.
