Welcome to KDV Engelbert 't Hummelhof, a homely and small-scale daycare center operated by Kids First, located in the heart of the Multifunctional Center (MFC) in Engelbert. Our daycare provides care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a peaceful, rural setting, just a 10-minute drive from the Lewenborg and Meerstad districts. At our center, everything revolves around the child. We offer a safe, warm, and stimulating environment where every child can develop at their own pace. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready with loving attention and have the knowledge and experience to put your child's needs first. We operate with horizontal groups, where babies and toddlers are cared for in separate groups from the preschoolers. This ensures peace, recognition, and an optimal developmental environment. Our spacious indoor area is atmospherically furnished with various play corners that invite exploration and play. We have a large, challenging outdoor space where children can romp, discover, and playfully learn about the world around them. The garden is designed to offer plenty to explore and experience. We believe it is important for children to spend a lot of time playing outside and connecting with nature. KDV 't Hummelhof follows a development-oriented approach. We provide activities that align with the child's developmental stage, such as stimulating language development, practicing motor skills, and exploring creative possibilities. We work with themes that connect to the children's world of experience. Additionally, we offer pre-school education (VE), through which we playfully prepare children for primary school. We use the VE program 'Piramide' for this. For the youngest ones, we have a separate baby group where rest, regularity, and attention are central. We follow your child's rhythm and ensure a familiar environment. For toddlers and preschoolers, we organize activities that are challenging and align with their curiosity, such as crafting, singing, reading, and playing games. We believe it is important for children to feel safe to play and discover. At KDV 't Hummelhof, we find it important that parents and children feel at home. We maintain open communication with parents and involve them in their child's development. We offer flexible daycare days and times to accommodate the wishes of parents as much as possible. Diapers, bread, and fruit are included in the care. We take allergies and diets into account.
