Kindercentrum Domino peutergroep de Ratel

Peutergroep de Ratel is part of Kindercentrum Domino and has been located in primary school Titus Brandsma at Patrijsweg 2 in Berg en Dal since February 2017. We provide care for toddlers aged 2.5 to 4 years in a safe, familiar environment. Our permanent team of experienced pedagogical staff creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere every morning where children learn and grow through play. We work closely with the school and with daycare De Bellenboom, located in the nearby community centre Kerstendal. This collaboration ensures a smooth developmental pathway: toddlers can get used to the school environment, younger pupils occasionally join us for play, and we celebrate holidays together. We also use the kindergarten playground and the nearby forest, allowing children to move and explore outdoors. Our programme aligns with Peuterplein, the same programme used in years 1 and 2 at Titus Brandsma. We stimulate language and speech development, early numeracy, fine and gross motor skills, and social interaction in a playful way. For children with a language or developmental delay, there is the option of Early Childhood Education (VE). They receive 16 hours of additional guidance per week, including a structured approach, extra parent meetings, and a smooth transition to primary school. De Ratel is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Half-day care is possible from 8:00 AM to 12:45 PM. All children eat a sandwich together at midday. Parents can choose between a 40- or 48-week contract. We are open 48 weeks a year and close only during public holidays and on the Thursday of the Four Days Marches week.
