Welcome to Kindercentrum De Zonneburcht, our green childcare centre in the heart of Den Hoorn. We provide day-care for up to 72 children aged 0 to 4 years in a characterful, nature-rich building at Schoolstraat 1. The centre is housed in a former convent that has been lovingly restored into a warm place where children feel both safe and challenged. At ZON! we believe that outdoor play in every season supports healthy development. Our large, green garden is therefore central to the daily routine. Children climb, explore and create adventures that stimulate their motor skills, senses and self-confidence. Our qualified pedagogical staff carefully observe what each child needs and tailor activities accordingly. Programmes are built around the fixed pillars of sport, nature and culture, while still leaving room for the children’s own ideas. We work with horizontal age groups so that care, nutrition and sleep schedules can be matched to your child’s developmental stage. For babies we provide bottle feeding, nappies and peaceful naps in quiet bedrooms. Toddlers enjoy healthy hot meals, fresh fruit and plenty of space to experiment with language and play. We also offer early-years education (VVE) so your child can develop the skills needed for primary school in a playful way. Our doors are open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., giving you flexible childcare on the days you need. Feel free to visit and experience the warm atmosphere of De Zonneburcht!
