Kindercentrum de Vrije Vogels

Kindercentrum de Vrije Vogels is centrally located in the Poelgeest neighbourhood of Oegstgeest and provides after-school care for children attending De Vogels primary school. Children aged 4 to 12 are welcome to join us after class for a safe, creative and sporty afternoon. Downstairs in our spacious hall you will find a large playroom with a little kitchen, a shop corner and a trunk full of dress-up clothes. Kids can build with big blocks or enjoy role-play games. Upstairs we have a real stage with seating where the children perform plays and shows. This area opens onto our private terrace: an outdoor playground with a sandpit and playhouse. When the weather is nice the children dig canals in the sand and let water flow through them. We love going outdoors. During school holidays our own SKO minibus takes us to the Blokhut on recreation island Koudenhoorn in Warmond, where older children can romp, build huts and have real adventures. The school playground also offers plenty of space to run, cycle and play football, with various climbing and play equipment. Children aged 5 and up can join the official swimming lessons at Poelmeer swimming pool. We pick up and drop off free of charge with our minibus and a pedagogical professional accompanies the lessons. If your child has sports training or a hobby club in Oegstgeest on a BSO day, our drivers will also provide free transport there and back. Kindercentrum de Vrije Vogels has 83 after-school places and works exclusively with children from De Vogels primary school. We use horizontal groups so children play and learn with peers of a similar age. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready to give every child a fun, challenging and safe afternoon.
