Kindercentrum de Tovertún

Welcome to Kindercentrum de Tovertún, the warm and homely daycare centre in the heart of Kollum. Our monumental building at Voorstraat 34 houses two lovely daycare groups: De Krûpelhintsjes and De Flinterkes. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in spacious, atmospherically decorated group rooms that are fully tailored to the world of experience of young children. Each group has its own cosy play corners and challenging toys that match the developmental stage of the children. With us, everything revolves around a safe and familiar environment where children can develop. We work with a close-knit team of pedagogical staff who provide personal attention and a predictable structure every day. Our approach is focused on child development: we sing together in a circle, create craft projects with paint and other materials, and stimulate language development by reading aloud and having conversations. Our spacious outdoor area is a real source of pride: a sunny, green place with a sandbox and various play equipment where children can let off steam. We use this garden daily, because outdoor play and discovering nature are very important for the development of young children. The outdoor area is safely enclosed and offers plenty of opportunities for motor challenges and imaginative play. We also have everything well organised for the very youngest. We provide bottle feeding and ensure a quiet sleeping area where babies and toddlers can rest. We take allergies into account and tailor care to parents' wishes.
