Welcome to Kindercentrum De Kabouters at De Boomgaard 7 in Assen. We are a small-scale daycare centre that has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 2016 under number 310942780. At our De Boomgaard location we offer a warm and stimulating environment for up to 24 children aged 0 to 4. The children are cared for in two fixed horizontal groups: a baby group for children aged 0 to 2 and a toddler group for children aged 2 to 4. Because of our small scale, a familiar and homely atmosphere is created in which every child receives the personal attention they deserve. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day to give the children a safe and cosy place where they can play, discover and grow. We work with fixed core groups and regular staff, so that children always see the same familiar faces. This contributes to a feeling of security and makes the transition from home to childcare as smooth as possible. We also believe that good contact with parents is very important; we are always open for a chat or consultation. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:00. Outside we have a playground where children can romp to their heart’s content. We offer flexible childcare options, including half-days, and we cooperate with the Broad School so that pre-school education (VVE) is integrated into our daily programme. This means that we already work playfully on skills that will come in handy later at school.
